Left4Dead - second impressions...

A recent update to Valves awesome Left4Dead includes commentary from the developers, something us Valvians have become accustomed to from the Half Life episodes and Team Fortress 2, and it includes some interesting input from the dev team that I can't help but find enthralling. Most humans fall into a coma at the thought of how buildings have been lit in order to be darker than the night sky, but I seem to be leaping and bounding to find the next yellow-spinning-speech-bubble.

If you also care of such things, or are mildly interested, then I recommend a run through the No Mercy campaign with the commentary on.

Also, having had plenty of time to play the game itself, it is shaping into being the best zombie-survival game ever - sorry Biohazard Resident Evil... The sheer depth of the game is on par with other Valve FPS's, with subtle backstory availible to those who look hard enough - anyone who has played will know what I mean when I mention 'the writing on the wall'.

If you get anything for Christmas, make sure its Left4Dead on the PC. Or, if you have some sort of incurable disease and choose to live your life that way - on the X-Box.
