Final Fantasy IV...

I ended up buying FFIV from retail.

This was the first bad omen.

I don't know where the '85%+' and 'B' ratings are coming from. I can only assume they are playing a different version to mine, as I can't seem to be able to get past the first 20 minutes. Seriously. My DS has taken more of a beating in the last 24 hours than it has in its life so far. Not only that, but the in-game graphics (AND the opening cut scene) all seem to pale to that seen in Final Fantasy III on the DS. I don't know why there is wool over the reviewers eyes, with FFIV being the better game/experience originally, but from what I have seen so far from this remake is a poor example of a game, with generic-modern-Square shit voice acting.

I really want to get into this game and enjoy it, as the new DS titles give newer Final Fantasy audiences a chance to catch up on what they missed in the past, especially with 3 & 4. I figure I'm missing something obvious, or just the fact that Rydia is actually shit...
