Last 24 hours

Unfortunately, my housemate has taken his PS3 home, so it looks like I'll be doing some catching up with Sony when we return in September - we're talking about a list of some big hitters, including Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5, two games that, in the past, have spurred me to purchase Sony hardware over Nintendo (and Sega... heh)

And with Final Fantasy being on Sony hardware since number 7, I have been a Sony man for a long time - though now retiring to the 'flailing' PC platform. I do like the PS3, regardless of its comical size, but the current generation of consoles seem to be a lot more expensive than I remember previous generations have been... Maybe its inflation. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm a tightwad bastard. Maybe all 3.

So, that's it for my second year in Coventry. Returning home tomorrow, still not sure if I'm going to need 6 drawers of old computer bits or not. No doubt there will be a point where they are needed. Do I gamble? These sort of big decisions are why I wake up in the morning.

To mark my last Coventry-based post, I will leave you with my 'quote of the year', aimed at a few friends who found it funniest, when quite inebriated on a fairground ride:

"I'M NOT F*****G JOKING!"
Roy, The IT Crowd - Season 2, Episode 2.
