So I haven't been feeling great recently, exploding laptops aside, so I decided to cheer myself up by watching some of my comedy DVD's, a task which sounds easier then it turned out to be. Some of you maybe aware I moved house twice last year as a result I still haven't unpacked alot of my stuff (infact I only set up my desktop PC earlier this month relying solely on the pile of scorched-silicon-previously-known-as-laptop, a testament to my lack of recent gaming or the power of my expensive dell doorstop I'll let you decide).
Well anyway the usefulness of packing everything into large blue unlabeled plastic boxes became an interesting source of frustration as I searched through 15 or so boxes, 4 of which contained roughly 150 DVD's it was of course inevitable the DVD's I searched for would be in the bottom of the box at the bottom of the pile of heaviest boxes, so I started looking there. They were not in there, if my life contained any sense of narrative irony it should have been in the box originally at the top of the stack of heavy boxes now at the bottom, however it was infact somewhere around the middle of the stack.
So I found the DVD's I was searching for in the end, my Eddie Izzard boxset, he is arguably my favorite Yemenite, and possibly my favorite comedian. Those of you unaware of his work my gift to you is this, one of my favorite sketches of his via the medium of lego.
This post turned out longer then I expected, I apologise and offer by way of recompense a view of things to come. My previously promised views on fallout 3, new BSG, along with a mention of new Lost and Heroes, and a quick review of the new Whedon series, Dollhouse. A new comic is all but written so expect that when you see it, and possibly also the return of the dotCommentarys.
